Our forward thinking environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts emphasize the critical importance technology plays in a sustainable future. By using bio-based packaging, recycled materials and renewable energy sources where possible, Lenovo has set aggressive, science-based energy and emissions reduction targets to support global climate change initiatives. During Fiscal Year (FY) 2019/20, Lenovo achieved a 92 percent emissions reduction relative to FY 2009/10. The Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions reductions were accomplished by implementing energy efficiency projects, using solar sources at sites and purchasing renewable energy certificates from renewable projects.
